The brief you were handed
"The CEO said we're becoming an AI company. Nobody has defined what that means, or what we're allowed to automate."
"We rolled out Copilot and ChatGPT. Nothing about how the work gets done changed."
"We ran pilots. None reached production."
"We can't let AI act on its own until we know who's accountable for what."
"What our best people know lives in one or two heads, and getting it wrong has real consequences."
We build into what you already have
Your systems already encode how the company runs, so we don't ask you to rip them out or move platforms. We work in your current stack, with only the access you give us, under NDA.
No vendor lock-in: bring your own agents or use ours. For each part of a workflow we make a build, buy or partner call with you and use whatever fits.
Governance built into the deployment
You'll have to show the CEO and the board what the AI may do on its own and who answers for it. We deploy with that already in place:
- A clear line between what the AI controls and what it only observes.
- An accountable person behind every decision that matters. Agents escalate to people based on your policies, and approve only what that person has permissioned.
- Spend caps you set, and a kill switch to stop it.
- Self-hosted is available.
It sits on Station, the system we deliver our own work on, configured for your use case. Read more about Station.
Something you can take to the CEO
The working session gives you a plan you can defend, built on one of your real workflows. Over a day we look at how your work runs and choose a workflow with you. You leave with:
- a working prototype on that workflow
- where the company is on the path from AI-absent to AI-enabled to AI-native
- a build, buy or partner call for each part of the workflow
- who is accountable for each decision
- our advice on where to go next
Then you choose the step. AI-absent → AI-enabled gets everything the company knows feeding one shared brain your people use every day. AI-enabled → AI-native makes that brain drive the work. Step 1 ends when your first workflow runs itself, with your people at the gates that matter.
Your team keeps the capability
We teach your people as we build, with short, plain-language training and a skills library they can maintain. By the time we step back, they can run and extend what we installed.
We build it so you can own it, and we operate it for as long as that's useful. By default we keep running the system and your brain as a managed service. If you'd rather run it yourself, you can: self-hosted is available.
What we're building for a manufacturer
Client · A specialty chemicals manufacturer · In progress. Its product expertise lived with one or two people. We're capturing it in a brain that matches the right product to each use case and refuses claims the company can't make.
We name clients only with their written permission; everything else is described as it was delivered.

No one owns AI on the leadership team yet?
If no one holds the Chief AI Officer role, or your product needs to become AI-native too, a fractional Chief AI Officer or fractional CPTO or CTO can step in. A fractional Chief AI Officer owns making the company AI-native; a fractional CPTO or CTO owns making the product AI-native. We agree the outcomes the seat answers for, one quarter at a time. Questions technology leaders ask
Why not do this in-house?
You can, and we'll leave your team able to. We make the path shorter because we've done this before and we bring the governance infrastructure. The same team stays with you from the first session to production.
Why not a company-brain platform?
A platform asks you to trust the machine. We start from your own experts and cite where every answer comes from, with an accountable person behind every decision that matters.
Is our data safe?
Your data stays in the systems you already use. We work inside them, with only the access you give us, under NDA.
What if we want to leave, or run it ourselves?
You can. We build it so you can own it, and we operate it for as long as that's useful. By default we run the system and your brain for you as a managed service, and you can take it over whenever you like. Self-hosted is available, so you can run it yourself with your own agents plugged in.
